Pendleton's Fall Harvest Festival and Historic Home Tour

I am so excited about Pendleton's Fall Harvest Festival to be held on October 13, 2012 from 10 to 5. This year is going to be the best ever with some added attractions. The Pendleton Leadership Foundation has joined with the Pendleton Historic Foundation to offer a Historic House Tour during the Fall Festival. Four homes in Pendleton will be on the tour plus ticket holders will be able to attend an Organ Concert at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Tickets are only $20 and can be purchased at Avenue of Oaks, Still on the Square and The Framery. The proceeds from the Historic House Tour will be used by the Leadership Pendleton Class of 2012 to install new decorative fencing at the historic St. Paul's Episcopal Church. This church has been such an important part of Pendleton's history and tours have been enjoyed by school groups for as long as I can remember. This decorative fencing is something that has been needed for a long time and we are all so excited about finally getting it done. But wait - There's more! The Pendleton Leadership Foundation is also sponsoring a Scarecrow Contest so when you come to town for the festival and the tour, you will be greeted by some very clever scarecrows created by area churches, schools, neighborhoods, businesses, and individuals. I can't wait to see what folks come up with. We hope that people will come from all around to our quaint little town just to see the scarecrows! You sure are invited so come on to Pendleton this fall! We would love to see ya!
